The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with

Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered presents Fran Blomquist, L. E. Burrell. John
Myers, E. L. Weick, Dale Fenrich and J. M. Bettis.
The Bills for January were read and on motion by Blomquist, seconded by Burrell that these
bills be allowed and Warrants ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had been approved by the
Finance Committee. Motion carried.

At a regular meeting of the members of the Caldwell Business Men's Assoc-
iation, held at 12,15 P. m., Monday, February 4, 1952, at the Golden
Pheasant Cafe, a thorough discussion was held in regards to advertising
on the parking meters of Caldwell.
After a thorough discussion of this matter, it was the unanimous vote of
those present, that the City of Caldwell reject any program of meter ad-
vertising. The Caldwell Business Men's Association sincerely hopes that
this expression of their feelings toward this program will be helpful to
you in deciding on this matter.

by Blomgnist, seconded by Fenrich that the rules requiring that the reading of a Bill or three sep =rote days

section and placed on its final passage. The layor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above motion

RESOLUTION
BY COUNCILVAN BURRELL.
Upon motion by Burrell, seconded by Blomquist the following Resolution was proposeds
WHEREAS, Wm Henry Gainey Sr., had been employed by the City of Caldwell for over twenty -seven
years, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gainey passed away January 26, 1952.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that as a special allowance the Sexton <,f Canyon Hill Cemetery be
authorized to cancel the grave fees and perpetual care charges on the burial of Wm Henry, Gainey Sr.,
Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirm&ti." "e weret 91emq•tist, Burrell, *ers, Wetck, Fenrich
and Bettis. Negative: Norge. Absent and not rating- None.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted.
The Mayor informed the Council this was the time as+ by notice for the Mayor and Houncil to meet
as a 13oard of Correction to review and correct assessments of the Caldwell Municipal Irrigation System.
There was no one present for or against.
The City Engineer informed the L€ayor and P,ouncil the estimate of roat and checking of descriptions
for the proposed Canyon Hill sewer had not been completed.
There tieing no further business to come before the Council, it was moved by Fenrich, seconded by
Ayers that Council adjourn to meet February 9th, at the Golden Pheasant Cafe at 12100 A. h. j7otion carried.
