The Regular T.Tonthly ? ?eeting of the City Council met in the Council Room of the
City Hall, with the Mayor, Edgar L. Oakes, presiding,
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present; W.E.Bgbcock, 0. A.
Stengel, W. B. Aandford, G. M- Fenrich and M. S.Sandmeyer. Absent; C. 0. McD
The minutes of January 6th., and 27th., were road and approved as read.
Mr. V.E. Blevins appeared before the Yayor and Council and petitioned the Mayor
and Council to cancel penalty and interest on City T levied against Lots 17 and 18 of
Block 16, College Freights Addition to the Cit, of Caldwell for the years, 1927, 1928,1929
and 1931.
Thereupon the following Resolution was presented to the Mayor and Council by
Councilman Sendmeyor, who moved the adoption thereof which motion was duly seconded by
Councilman Babcock.

ITTEI?EAS, it has been made to appear to the satisfaction of the Mayor and City
Council, that the properties herein particularly described have been assessed by the City
for special taxes inclucling Sewer TTo 6, and Weed Cutting and that none of said taxrs have
been paid, and that the same are now delinquent against said properties, end,
'!,f3LTEAS, application has been made to cancel penalty and interest on such de-
lino_uent taxes ausinst said properties, and,
7MEFEAS it appears to be to the best interest of the said City to cancel the
same.
NOW, TBEFE ^OR' BE IT RTPOI.VFD, that the Cit Treasurer be authorized to cancel
the penalty and interest on the followingdescri'ued property.
. Lots 17 and 18,.Block 16, College weights Addition to the City Of C for
the years 1927, 1923, 1929 and 1931.
A Yea and Nay vote was had thereon with the following result;
Yea; Bs'jcock, Stengel, Hnndford, Fenrich and gandmeyer.
Nay; None;
Absent and not voting; McDannel.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution duly adoptee
The Mayor informed the Council that this was the time set for the opening of
bids for 15,000 gallons of gasoline.

meyer.that the Council accept the bid of the Idaho G & Oil Co. Ajotion carried.
The following Resolution was presented to the mayor and Council by Councilman
Randfprd, who moved the adoption thereof vrl7ich motion sras duly seconded by Councilman
Babcock.

WHEREAS In accordance with Ordinance pro 270, of the City of Caldwell, $500,
shall b e transfered quarterly from 7,, , later Tor'rs Fund to the ^later Depreciation Fund.

NOW, TH - RE-ORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the City of Caldwell
be authorized to transfer $500 from the Waterworks.Fund to the eater Depreciation Fund.
A Yea and Nay vote was had thereon with the following reeult:
Yea: Babcock, Stengel, Handford, Fenrich and Sandmeyer.
Nay: None.
Absent and not voting: McDannel.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the preamble and resolution
adopted.
An application for Card Room License was read from Wilson Eros., the fee ac.-
compnnying the application.

The above was read f or the first time and the Council proceeded to the consid-
eration of said Bill and Ordinance.
The Bills for January were read and on motion by Babcock, seconded by Fenrich
that these Bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various anto�ints all of
which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Motion carried.

well that the employees employed at the cemetery of the City of Caldwell suspend their
labore on each Sunday of every week.
A Yea and Nay vote was had thereon with the following result; .
Yea; Babcock, Stengel, Randford, Fenrich and Sandmeyer.
Nay: None.
Absent and not voting; McDannel.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Rasolution duly.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by
Handford, seconded by Fenrich that Council adjourn. Motioncarried.

The City Council met on call of the Mayor, with the yrayor, Edgar L. Oakes, pre-
siding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen =swered present: W.E.Labcock, Oscar
Stengel, W.S. Handford, G. M. Fenrich and M.S.SQndmeyer. Absent C. 0. Mcngnnel.
The Pdayor Informed the Council that the meeting was called for the second read-
ing o'f Bills No 5 and 6; Proposed Ordinances No. 571,_ and 572.
It was moved by Ba „cock, seconded by Fenrich that the Rules requiring the read-
ing of an Ordinance on threes.eparate days be suspended and that Proposed Ordinance No 571
be read the second time by title and the third time in full, section by section, and
placed on its final passage. The Pdayor directed the Clerk to call the Roll on the motion
wlth'the following results Those voting in favor of the motion were; Babcock, Stengel,
Handford, Fenrich and Sandmeyer. Those apposed; None. Absent and not voting: McDannel.
The Mayor then declared the motion had carried by the necessary three - fourths majority and
directed the Clerk to read the Proposed Ordinance the second time by title and the third
time in full, section by section. The Clerk read the Proposed Ordinance as directed.
The_t astion then being "Shall the Proposed Ordinance No 571, pass " ?. The Mayor directed
the Clerk _to `call the Roll with the fallowing result; Those voting in favor were;
Babcock; Stengel; Handford, Fenrich and Sandmeyer. Those opposed; None. A and not
voting; McDannel. Thereupon.the mayor declared that the Proposed Ordinance No 571 had
passed, and the Mayor, in open session of the Council duly signed and approved the Ordin-
nee and the Clerk dui
