The Regular 11onthly Meeting of the City Council met In the Council Room of the City Hall, with the Mayor Emery L. Vassar, presiding. On Roll Cell the following Councilmen answered present: Edgar L.,Oakes, F. D. Mumford, 7. S. Boynton, G, W. Montgomery, G. M. Fenrich and W. R. Hollingsworth. The Minutes of January 6th., and 14th., were read and approved as read. N. H. Combs and Roy King appeared before the Council and asked that the ir- rigation water be turned into the ditches earlier so as to take care of early crops. This matter was referred to the Irrigation Committee. An application for Pool Hall and Card Room License was read from P. A. Martin, the fee accompanying the application. Moved by Montgomery, seconded by Iollingsworth that this application be allowed. On Roll Call the following Councilmen voted in favor of the motion. Oakes, Mum - ford, Fenrich, Boynton, Montgomery and Hollingsworth. Opposed: None. Absent and not vot- ing: None. Thereupon the Mayor declared the above motion carried. The Bills for January were read and on motion made by Montgomery, seconded by Fenrich, that these bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Cor:nittee. Applegate Services 3.00 2365 _Caldwell 'Trading Post Supplies 1.00 2366 Central Service Station " 1.00 2367 Clerk's Cash RevolvinL; 2und " 1.00 TOTAL SOUTH PARK FUND $ 151.81 0 D CR,IM 'TOTAL OF EXPENDITURES FOR J:.11 $ 6,792.88 'sae "I e�c' n preamble 5— Whereupon, the following and resolution was presented to the Council by Hollingsworth: V[HERI:AS, gravel has been removed by the City of Caldwell from the following described property belonging to Frank Yuematsue, to -wit: Commencing at the Section corner common to Section 15, 16, 21, and 22, Township 4 North, Range 3 Woo t of the Boise Meridian; thence South 752 feet thence.South 46 East 12 feet; to the point of beginning; thence continuing South 46 East 52 feet; thence continuing North 48 Best b36 feet; thence Northwesterly 45 feet to a point which is North 43 22 East and 150 feet dista fromthe point of beginning; thence South 43 West 150 feet, to the point of beginning, containing 0.16 acres, more or less. with the understanding that the bar pit thereby created should be gradually re- filled from cleanings of the streets of Caldwell, and iTHEREAS, the said Frank Yuematsue has requested that a memorandum agreement be entered into between himself and the City of Caldwell to oeonstitute written evidence of the agreement, Nr01, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Mayor of the City of C,- ldwell be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed and empowered to mare and execute such a contract, to be attested by the City Clerk on behalf of the City of Caldwell, and the city attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized and instructed to prepare a proper contract for that purpose. Councilman Hollingsworth moved the adoption of the preamble and resolution, whick motion was seconded by Councilman Oakes, and roll call was had thereon,, .^ith the following results: Yes; Hollingsworth, Oakes, Mumford, Fenrich, BoFmton and Montgomery. No: None Absent and not voting: None. Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried, end the preamble and resolution adopted.
