The matter of formulating an ordinnnee tc regixlate the water works system
was refeered to the elty attorney and water works committee.
The matten of preparing and publidhing the city ordinances was brought up by
Paynter; it was voted, on motion of Farrar, that the Mayory appoint a committee of three
to act with the city attorney to determine what ordinances are to be retained and what

P The city engineer was given authority to have the telephone and electric light
placad itgainat the Luillings in the alleys in tLe Paving district.
Voted, on motion of Gartin, that the Council adjourn until Wednesday evening,
February 2, 1910, at ?t30 p, m.
Wednesday, February 2, 1910. Council net in regular session pursuant to
adjournment with Maywr Gowen presidin;; and Councilman DeArers, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter,
present; Shorb, Clerk.
Councilman J. N. Gipson filed leis resignation ay Councilman from Third Ward,
which was read.
Bill No.34 by Devers, entttled, "An Ordinance repealing Ord i ' .134,
entitled,'An Ordinance providinZ for the licensing of drays, trucks, express and job
wagons, numbering the same in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, and providing a penalty for
the violation theroof' passed and approved by the Mayor and Council of saw City of
Caldwell, on the 19th day of July, 1909," wrs read the first time.
Bill No.35 by Gartin, entitled, "An Ordinance providing for the removal of
snow, hail and sleet from the sidewalks within the fire limits of the City of Caldwell,
Idaho, by the owners or tenants of the prorerty fir.ontin� and labutoing;l,on said sidewalks
and providing u penalty for tht� violation of this Ordinance," was read the first time.
A motion was made by Farrar instructinE the City Clerk to notify the Caldwell
Power Co, that the City would enter into a contract with said Comlany for five yaers,
with a mimimum of 50 standard are lights, %.a pa„ the sum of :' each, annually, pay -
ments to be made monthly. The roll being called on t,ie motion, the vote resulted:
" Ayes -- Revers, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter - 4 N
Nays - -O. Abeent-- Clark, Gipson. So the motion prevailed.
A motion was made by Farrar that the city attorney be empowered to prepare,
correct and have printed, in book form the Ordinances of the City cf laldwell. The roll
being calved on the motion the vote resulteds

Nays - -0. Abeent- Mlark, Gipson. So the motion
