COUNCIL CHAMBERS, FEB. IST, 1926.
The Mayor and Council met in regular session, ' let, 1926 with Mayor Saley, pres4Lng,
Councilmen Conley, Dutton, %imbrough, Rumford, MoConnel, and Wheeler, present.
Henry B eck, Ohm. of the Board of County Commissioners , requested the Council to open-0
street, commencing at a point where 5th Ave. intersects PaFnter Ave., and extend the sam
mile west to the City linits. This was referred& to Dutton and McConnell for investigatica and
report to the Counoil at its next meeting.
Mr. W.F.Tatum requested the exclusive use of the third floor of the City°all for a maek or
ten days for revival mestings,The same was denied, as there might be other organisatione, that
would want the use of the same duringthat time.
Resolution No. 15 by Conley, which reads as follows, was presented, and on motion 01 Nimbrough,
seconded by Rumford, and carried, the same was adopted:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE IRRIGATION COMMITTEMAN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIM OF
OALDWELL, IDAHO, TO CONTRACT WITH THE PIONEER IRRIGATION DISTRICT, FOR OND ON BEHALF OF 9 HE CITY
OF CALDWELL, FOR THE DISPOSAL OF THE SEEPAGE WATER IN MEMORIAL PARR, IN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS,the seepage water caused by the drain ditch of the Pioneer Irrigation District running
near Memorial Park in the City of Caldwell,Idaho, has caused considerable damage to said park by
killing trees, foliage, shrubbery, ete.,growing in said park: and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, to desirous of saving from any
further damage its investment of approximately 020,000.00, in said Memorial Park;
Now, Therefore, be it resolved by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, dahoo
Sectibn 1. That the Irrigation Committeeman, Mr. Fred H. MoConnel, be aidhe is he : -eby
authorised, empowered, and direoted, for and on behalf of the City of Caldwell. Idaho, ty enter
into a contract with the Pioneer Irrigation District to build the necessary outlet eta I Point
oommon to the four quater sections of Wotiop 21, Township 4 North, Range 3 West of the Boise
A`eridain, so that the drainage water as ex�3csd by the drain ditch running through the. C ty of
Caldwell, and close to 'Memorial Yark, may be ca -ried away without further seeping and os sing
damage to the Memorial Park of the City of Caldwell,Ideho.
It was voted on motion of gimbrongh, seconded by Dutton, that Bill No. 14 , be tabled
It was voted on motion of wheeler, seconded by Dutton, that the following bills as or roved
be allowed and warrants ordered dnawn on the various funds as follows:
