The City Council met On call of the ? Mayor, with the Mlyor Edgar L. Oakes, presid-
ing.
on Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present% W.E.Babcock, C. 0.
MCD,nnel, O scar Stengel, W.B. Fandford, G. m. penrich and M. S.sandme7er.
The Mayor Informed the Council the meeting was called to take up the matter Of
extqnding the Airport Contract.
Thereupon the following R was presented to the Mayor and Council by
Couri . oilman Sandmeyer who moved tho adoption thereof which motion was duly seconded by
Councilman Fenrich.
RESOLUTION.

J;ffl7RFAS MACK S. JnHNSTON4,Of Caldwell canyon County, Idaho hA3 by written
lease dated the 15t day of FulY, 1940, leased from the City of Caldwell, State of Idaho
for a period of one year the municipal Airport, and
WHEREAS, the said Mack S. Johnston desires to expand Approximately the sum of

WHEREAS, t_nO said Mack S. Johnstone Will expand the

the City of Caldwell will lease the said municipal airport to him for a period of Five (5)
years instead of the one (1) year as provided in said lease.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell
that the terms of the said Airport Agreement shall be extended to July 1,'1946, providing
the said Mack S. Jo hn stone expends the sum a foresaid for the improvement of said municipal
airport:
A yea and Nay vote was had thereon with the following result:
Yea; Babcock, MCD Stengel, H,andford, Fenrich and Sandmeyer.
Nay: None.
Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution duly adopted.
Thereupon Works' progress Administration Contract No.
for a sewer in the alley between Denver and Elgin Streets and from Second Street to Seventh
Street was presented to the Council and after due consideration the followin& Resolution
was presented by Councilman Handford who moved the adoption thereof which motion was duly
seconded by Councilman Sfandmeyer.
RESOLUTION.
By Handford.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Chairman of the Water Committee of the City
of Caldwell be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the,City d:_
contract with,the Works' progress Administration project No.
A Yea and Nay vote was had thereon with the following result;
Yea; Babcock, 1r101)nnel, Stengel, Handford, Fenrich and Sandmeyer.
Nay: None.
Absent and not voting; None.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution duly adopted.
Thereupon the following Resolution was presented to the Mayor and Council by
Councilman Sandmeyer, 17ho moved the adoption thereof which motion was duly seconded by
Councilman Stengel.
RESOLUTION.
By Sandmeyer.
WREREAS, the present supply of gasoline of the City of Caldwell is nearly ex-
hausted and the said City is in need of the same:
NOW, n--? FORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the City of Caldwell, by and through its
City Clerk, call for sealed bids for the purchase of Fifteen Thousand (15,000) gallons of
first structure 72- Octaine leaded gasoline of the standard and quality as provided by
Section 36 -1606, Idaho Code Annotated, delivery to begin on or about February 10, 1941,
that then aid bids will ::e received at the offices of the City Clerk until Monday the 3rd.,
lay of February, 1941 at the hour of Eight (8) o +clock; that the said bid be published
once in MM CALDWELL HERS- TRIBUNE at least Five (5) days prior to the day called for the
)pening of laid bids.
A yea and Nay vote was had thereon with the following result
Yea: Babcock, McDannel, Stengel, Sandford, Fenrich and Sandmeyer.
Nay: None. .�
Absent and not voting; None.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution duly adopted.
A letter was read by the City Clerk from Hugh R. Ackley stating that he wished
:o purchase the Dament Block. This matter w as left on the table.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by MC-
)annel, seconded by Fenrich that Council adjourn. MotiDn carried.
