of Chas. E. Jamvis, resigned,
Moved by Vassar and seconded by Bales that the Council confirm the above appointment
On Roll Call, the following voted in favor of confirming the appointment: M. S.
Sandmeyer, Ar G. Keister, 0. E. Bales, 0. M. Johnston, Joe Dickens and E. L: Vassar.
Those opposed, None. Absent and not voting, None.
Moved by Bales and seconded by Vassar that this Council stand adjourned upon call
of the Mayor n yp Motion carried.

An adjourned meeting of the City Council met in the Council Room with the Mayor,
Fred L. Lilly, -pre siding.
On Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered present: M. S. Sandmeyer, A. G.
Keister, C. E..Bales, Joe Dickens, E. L. Vassar and C. M. Johnston. Absent None.
Bi11.No. 1 by Dickens wan read providing an Ordinance prescribing the rules and
regulations for the conduct of public Auctions and Public'Sales grounds within' the limits
>f the City of•Caldwell.
The above Bill was read for the First Time.
A letter from J. 0. Smith, County Clerk, asking that the Mayor and City Council
:crept the sum of $ 190.33 as payment of Delinquent Taxes on Lots 6 -9 -10, Bloek 13, Arling
on Addition.
The Clerk was authorized to write Mr. Smith, accepting the 4 190.33,
Moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Keister that this Council authorize the City
lark and the City Treasurer to sort out the old files and papers and to destroy all paper

hat are of no value, for the reason that our room for storage is very limitedl
Motion Carried.
Moved by Vassar and seconded by Dickens that the City Treasurer refund to U.

An Application for Electric Service in the house on the Cemetery land was read. And
on motion made by Sandmeyer and seconded by Vassar that the Mayoy and City Clerk be author
ized to complete the contract for installing Electric Service in said house. Motion Carried
Moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Dickens that the Mayor and City Clerk be author-
ized to grant to the Idaho Power Co. permission to 11stall a dead man on the cemetery land
so that the Power Co. might put up guy wires to the poles used for installing the above
Electric Service. Motion Carried.
Moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Diokend that the Cemetery Committee be empoweaed
i
to complete the house on the Cemetery land and make the house tenantable, and then to
rent the same. Motion Carried.
Moved by Dickens and seconded by Bales that the City Attorney be instructed to
write A. J. Mada, demanding payment for damages to the City sprinkler, caused by a certain
collision out on South Kimball , especially relating to the bill presented by Bill Evans
j� who repaired the said sprinkler. Motion Carried

- Moved by Dickens and seconded by Bales that the Mayor appoint a Committee of three
to r the wage scale of all City employees and report back to the next regular meeting
of the Council. Motion Carried.
The Mayor appointed E. L. Vassar, C. E. Bales and M. 9. Sandmeyer as the above
Committee.
Moved by Johnson and seconded by Keister that this Council stand adjourned
until Monday evening January 25th, unless sooner convened by order of the Mayor.

An adjourned meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms with the
Mayor, Fred L. Lilly, presiding.
On Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered presents M. S. S andmeyer, A. G.
Keister, 0. E. Bales, C. M. Johnston, E. L. Vassar and Joe Dickens. Absent None.
The Committee, appointed at the previous meeting for the purpose of revising the
age scale for City employees, presented a report asking for a reduction of the City woe
scale, practically 10 per cent.
Moved by Dickens and seconded by Keister that the Committee's report be adopted
a nd placed on file, and that the City Attorney be instructed to draw up the necessary
O rdinance covering all employees affected by said reduction. Motion Carried.
The Clerk read for the second time, Bill No. 5, providing for the maintenancas
d control of Public Auotions and Public Sales Grounds.
Moved by Vassar and seconded by Dickens that this Council stand adjourned.
Motion Carried.
