COUNCIL CHAMBERS, JAN.I6TH,I922.
The Council met in regular sessioa,pureuant to adjournment, with Mayor Miller,.
presiding, Councilmen Kimbrough,.aumford, Cakes,Rowland, and Weetoott, present, and
Bollman,abeeat.
Al Mayfibadrequested a franchise for a power line from Kimball to 2thst in the alley
between Hannibal and Indiana Streets. No action was taken on this matter but it was
voted on motion of Oakes that the Mayor appoint a Committee of three and the City Attorn
ey to investigate this oondition;also all other grievances of a similar nature that had
arisen from the Idaho Power Cole refusing to furnish power to the inhabitants of Caldwel
as set forth in their Franchise. The Mayor appointed VPestcott,Oakes, and Rowland.
H.J.Mends asked for a franchise to place waste paper cane.used for advertising purpos
as on certain corners of the City. It was voted on motion of Oakes that the 1 �eyor appoi
at a committee of thre-- to investigate this matter and report at the neat eession,The
Mayor appointed Oakes,Mumford, and Kimbrough.
Geo.Green asked for the status on the Sprinkling Contraot,This matter was left with '
the original committee of Westoott,Bollman, and Rowland.
It was voted on motion of Kimbrough that the Street Committee be instructed tp
place danger signals on all four corners and a cement block in the'eenter of all
dangerous corners.
Aestoott reported that the grade on Canyon Hill was hot as good a grade ad the
U.S.R.S. had torn down; that it should be made to place a retaining wgll on the side
where the earth slides into the ditch and tomake toe grade somewhat wideT.The City
Attorney was instructed to take the amtter up further with J.B.Bond,Projeot Manager.
It was voted on motion of Howland that the Finance Committee have all Banks give
Sgrety Bonds For City money on deposit.
The City Clerk was instructed to write Ira E. High and ask bim.to submit sample of
papaw/ and shape of bond for Sewer Dist. #9.
It was voted on motion of Westcott that the City Attorney procure an additional
legal opinion .on the proceedings of Sewer Dist. #7.
It was voted on motion of Rowland that the Council adjourn.

The Council met in regular session with Mayor Miller,presiding,Counoilmeh, Bollman,'
83mbrough, Ra¢Band and Westcott preenet, and Mumford and Oakes absent,
,The minutes of the preceding mettimgs were read and approved.
O.M.Soper.on the behalf of the Citizens living near and around Ibth & Fillmore,
requested a street light on-that corner.It wag voted on motion of•Kimbrough,�eeoonded by
Bollman, that the MaYpr appoint a Committee of three to investigate and report to the
Coujncil. The ,Mayor appointed Kimb rough, Rowland land Bollman.
A petition, aigardby F.Kemp Heath and others, praying for the water mains to be extended
outside of the City limits on G4nyon Hill, was presented.It was voted on motion of Westoot
seconded by Rowland,, that the Water Committee together with the City Attorney and Water
Supt., be allowed to work out a plan,if feasible and report the same at a latter meeting.
