PUBLIC MEETING INFORMATION

Written comments must be received at least eight (8) days in advance of the meeting to the Planning & Zoning Department at
P&Z@cityofcaldwell.org to be included within the staff report. All comments received after the staff report has been transmitted will be included in
the case file and provided as late exhibits at the appropriate public hearing.

1. ACTION ITEM: Public Hearing Quasi-Judicial: Case Number SUP26-000003: The applicant, James Steele, is
requesting modification to an existing special use permit (SUP) for Vertical Venues, a 12,000 sq. ft. event center
located within an airplane hangar on a leased airport lot. The current occupancy is limited to 250 individuals by the
original SUP, and the applicant would like to increase the capacity to 600 individuals for standing room only and
344 individuals for seated occupancy. The 0.28 acre lease lot is located just southeast of the Airport Terminal
Building at the intersection of E. Linden St. and Smeed Parkway, in Caldwell, Idaho.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
Public Information/Responsibility: For public hearing cases that are scheduled to be heard by City Hearing Bodies
and are not heard on the noticed date: The hearing body is required to provide a “date certain” for when that case will be
heard (typically on the next hearing agenda but not always). Additional notices are not required and are NOT sent to
property owners or posted on the site. Please check the city’s website for agendas and updates or contact staff for the
hearing date that the particular case is to be heard.
Next Regular Hearing Examiner Meeting is on Tuesday, July 14th, 2026, in the Caldwell City Council Chambers
Room, 205 S. 6th Avenue, Caldwell, Idaho. Any person needing special accommodations to participate in the meeting
