WHEREAS April 2026 marks the 55^ anniversary of the passage of Title, VIII of the Civil

WHEREAS, the Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing based on race, color,

federal funding to affirmatively further fair housing in their communities; and

WHEREAS, the laws of this nation and our state seek to ensure equality of choice for all
in transactions involving housing; and
WHEREAS, only with the cooperation, commitment, and support for all the residents of
the state can barriers to the enjoyment of this and the other aspects of equality of
opportunity for all be removed; and
WHEREAS, the City of Caldwell is committed to the mission and intent to provide fair and
equal housing opportunities for all; and
NOW, THEREFORE, APRIL is hereby proclaimed as
NATIONAL FAIR HOUSING MONTH
in the City of Caldwell, and all citizens are urged to learn more about stalking, recognize it as a
serious crime, support those affected, and work together to create a community where every
person can live free from fear and harassment.
