Dave,
Good morning. I am reaching out to check in on the status of the review of the Farmway Crossing No. 1
subdivision. Farmway Crossing is located at the southwest corner of Ustick Rd and Farmway Rd. While this
subdivision is not within PID’s jurisdiction area, we designed the storm drain system to discharge historic runo A
into the Bardsley Gulch Drain. We submitted back in late October, early November of 2025.
We are looking to get a formal approval from PID to discharge historic runo A into the Bardsley Gulch Drain.

APPROVED FOR CONSTRUCTION
These plans and/or specifications have been reviewed
for compliance with the City of Caldwell specifications.
This review does not relieve the owner, engineer, or
contractor of the responsibility to design and/or
construct these facilities in compliance with all current
applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules,
regulations, ordinances, orders of decisions,
development agreements, or specifications.
Inconsistencies not isolated by City staff shall not be
construed as approved unless specifically addressed
as a variance and granted by City Council as a
variance. The City retains the right to enforce
provisions of said document and policies even if
inconsistencies are not noted by the City. Any
revisions of these approved plans will require a
resubmittal for a full review and approval.

See below, taken from current PID Standards. Please let me know if you have any questions.
“ Proposed stormwater discharges shall be designed so as not to exceed the pre-urban development
flow rate for the proposed drainage basin (discussed below). Further, proposed stormwater discharges
shall be designed to preferentially drain to drainage ditches rather than to delivery ditches as a general
matter. Therefore, proposed stormwater discharges shall be designed to discharge to drainage ditches
rather than to irrigation delivery ditches when: (1) the subject property historically drained to a drainage
ditch prior to subdivision, or (2) when the property to be drained is adjacent to a drainage ditch and
drainage can be accomplished by gravity flow.”
