HomeMy WebLinkAbout250006-Mirandesa PI Report PRESSURE IRRIGATION DESIGN Project: Mirandesa Subdivision and Farmway Crossing Subdivision Service Area: The 86.9 acres of Farmway Crossing Subdivision and Mirandesa Subdivision are located within Lot 4 Section 4 and Lot 1 Section 5, Township 3 North, Range 3 West, Boise Meridian, Canyon County Idaho. Summary: The purpose of this report is to determine pump station capacity and mainline pipe sizing through hydraulic analysis for the above service area. This report serves to summarize the design of the full buildout of the above service area. All pipes in this model are designed with a maximum pipe velocity of 5ft/s. All nodes in this model are designed to be between 50 and 85 psi. The parcels south of both Farmway Crossing Subdivision and Mirandesa Subdivision are not part of the design of this pump station. Pump Station Demand: The Mirandesa Subdivision is a multiuse development. The northwest ±3.4 acres is proposed to be commercial and ±19.9 acres is to be residential. Farmway Crossing Subdivision is to be single family residential. The pump station is designed for a total demand of 1 miners inch per acre or 9gpm/acre. Project Phase Irrigable Acres (AC) Area (AC) Water Right (GPM) Assumed 1 in/AC Farmway Crossing ±32.8 ±44.49 400 Mirandesa ±31.2 ±42.37 382 TOTAL ±64 ±86.86 783 Pump Station Design Components: The following needs review and approval from CMID and their approved contractor prior to purchase or construction. The pump station will consist of the following: Design supply of +/- 898 GPM at 165 feet of head (approximately 9 GPM/AC of 87 AC + 40 GPM for the CW screen, and 66 GPM for Amiad filter) Clemons Clearwater self-cleaning screen Model CW-800, 12-mesh AMIAD filter with 30% more capacity than the design demand. Therefore 1 AMIAD SAF-3000 IOM filter is proposed. With a total capacity of 1170 gpm A Siemens Sitrans mag flow meter to be installed on the discharge line. The pipe manifold needs to be 8”. Pipe velocities for 898 GPM will be 4.35ft/s. Gravity irrigation supply line of 12” pipe at a uniform slope of 0.5%. This provides a maximum supply of 1634 GPM. Overflow will discharge into 12” main running south to north through the center of the subdivision which will then discharge to the existing irrigation standpipe at the northwest corner into the Bardsley Gulch Drain.
