Dear City of Caldwell Planning & Zoning,
On behalf of myself and my business partner and Co-Owner Auston, we respectfully request a
two-year extension of the Special Use Permit originally granted for the Kahari Apartments
project.
Since the time of approval, the project has made significant progress. The civil design has been
completed and approved as of 2024, and the site is fully approved and ready for development.
The property is currently under contract with a qualified buyer who intends to proceed with the
development. The extension will ensure adequate time for closing, builder mobilization, and
vertical construction to commence without requiring a new submittal or redesign.The proposed
developm
ent remains unchanged currently from the approved plans, consisting of 48 multi-family units
across four three-story buildings, the originally included single famly homesite has recently been
split off from the approved apartment site and both parcels shall be receiving new parcel
numbers and address very soon. The site complies with all applicable zoning requirements and
remains consistent with the City’s Original Comprehensive Plan and the goals set forth for
high-density residential development.
We respectfully request the City's consideration to grant the two-year extension to preserve the
current entitlements and allow the incoming developer sufficient time to bring the project to
fruition.
