Good morning,
Please accept this letter of feedback regarding the applications for Peregrine East and
Peregrine West subdivisions.
It is no secret that Caldwell/Nampa are being severely overdeveloped. As I look at the PublicHearing Cases page on the City of Caldwell website, I am horrified at the number of
applications for subdivisions. The approval of all of these high density builds is causing anextreme decline in the quality of life of residents here, driving out locals and longtime
residents in droves. It is looking more and more like Los Angeles each day, with the traffic togo along with it.
At the very least, our infrastructure simply cannot handle the addition of thousands of vehicles
each day. Karcher is a nightmare as it is, which the city has "remedied" by widening it to 4lanes. However, with the addition of all of these blasted subdivisions, we will be right back
where we are now! Instead of 2 lanes of stand-still traffic going to the 84, it will be 4 lanes ofstand-still traffic!
Just last week I spent 35 minutes going from Midway Road to the I-84 entrance. 35 minutes
to travel less than two miles. This is only going to get worse if more subdivisions and highdensity projects are approved.
I beg of you, please do not allow these projects to proceed. Please preserve this area's ag-land
and stop allowing greedy developers to destroy our quality of life. Our farmers are dependingon you to protect them. Our locals and longtime residents are depending on you to send the
message to developers that we are NOT for sale.
Please do not approve these projects.
