Dear Caldwell Planning and Zoning,
If the 156 residential lots are approved, the elementary students residing in the
development would attend Warhawk Elementary School, which opens in the fall of
2025.
Although the district is relieved to have a new elementary school opening this fall, we
are also concerned. With 3,000 more homes already projected to be built within a
1.5-mile radius of the school in the next five years, additional subdivisions will
exacerbate the district’s ability to keep up with growth. The district is projecting that
the 8 of the 9 elementary schools will be at capacity by 2029.
On behalf of the school district and concerned citizens, we urge you to consider the
rate of growth in this area and the impact it has on the district’s ability to provide
quality educational services to the children.
