PUBLIC MEETING INFORMATION
CITY OF CALDWELL
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we invite interested parties to participate in public hearings either electronically or in person. If you have a cough,
fever, or are not feeling well, please contact Planning & Zoning staff to arrange participation remotely. The City of Caldwell follows the CDC
guidelines to allow for distancing in the public meeting area and provide masks/hand sanitizer on site.
Virtual Participation Option: Register in advance to provide public comments electronically or by telephone. During the registration process, you
will be asked what item on the agenda you wish to speak about. Please use the case number as listed within the written notice.
On-line registration must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Click on the green “public meetings” button on the center of the
page. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the virtual meeting. REGISTER HERE:

Written comments must be received at least eight (8) days in advance of the meeting to the Planning & Zoning Department at
P&Z@cityofcaldwell.org to be included within the staff report. All comments received after the staff report has been transmitted will be included in
the case file and provided as late exhibits at the appropriate public hearing.

1. ACTION ITEM: Approve the March 11, 2025 Hearing Examiner Meeting Minutes.
IV. OLD BUSINESS:
1. ACTION ITEM: Public Hearing Quasi-Judicial: Case Number: SUP24-000019: This case has been continued
from February 25th and March 11th , 2025 meetings. The applicant, on behalf of Eric Salinas, is requesting approval
of a special use permit for an event center in the Traditional Neighborhood zone. The site includes two parcels, one
parcel with a building that has previously been used as a restaurant and a second parcel that is undeveloped. The
intent is to use the site for indoor and outdoor events, including a location for the placement of mobile food units
(food trucks). The site is approximately ½ acre and is addressed as 424 E. Elgin St., with one parcel (R01902000)
located on the west corner of E. Elgin St. and N 5th Ave. and the second parcel (R0190000000) on the north corner
of E. Denver St. and N. 5th Ave. separated by an alley. Staff is asking for a continuance to the May 13th, 2025,
meeting.

Public Information/Responsibility: For public hearing cases that are scheduled to be heard by City Hearing Bodies
and are not heard on the noticed date: The hearing body is required to provide a “date certain” for when that case will be
heard (typically on the next hearing agenda but not always). Additional notices are not required and are NOT sent to
property owners or posted on the site. Please check the city’s website for agendas and updates or contact staff for the
hearing date that the particular case is to be heard.
Next Regular Hearing Examiner Meeting is on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the Caldwell City Council Chambers
Room, 205 S. 6th Avenue, Caldwell, Idaho. Any person needing special accommodations to participate in the meeting
should contact the City Office at 208-455-3021 prior to the meeting. The agenda packet and minutes can be viewed on
