I've never put in a testimony for planning and zoning before, but now I feel moreinclined to do so. I live directly across from the proposed site and I feel that it would negatively affect my life and my wife's due to more traffic, vehicular and pedestrian whichalready is too much with the influx of people moving to Idaho and the Treasure Valley in general. Since moving to Idaho, I've seen farm fields turn into subdivisions and apartmentcomplexes. I understand that some families sell their property for this purpose or they cannot provide upkeep for the land. Coming from a farming family this is disheartening. I alwaysenjoy looking at the field being used for its intended purpose. I believe that we should instead look at the possibility of keeping the farmland as it is and available to lease toagricultural companies or other farmers in the area. Idaho is known for its farming and ranching communities and I would like to see it stay that way. I know my opinion may not bemuch but it is heartfelt.
