Overall players are happy with course conditions and customer service. Question from Zach W- What are the tee time intervals- Answer(Braxton) 9 minutes and it works well but places a demand for more golf carts. The goal is to go to 8-minute intervals. We have requested 10 to 20 more carts from the city. We recognize that Fairview and Purple Sage need more carts. The general idea is to turn a cart 2 times a day. Considering the lease -to -buy option. Gini expressed concern with the carts staying charged after 2 rounds. Roy stated that half of the fleet was being rounded and receiving a quick charge daily Gini stated that extended hours of the snack bar is paying off. Chuck asked about extra cart storage. Ken stated we have storage. Roy is checking to see if storage is adequate and obtaining more carts to be rented for the Labor Day and Mayors Tournament. Discussion of Cart paths being completed ensued. Ken Wheeler stated we have been put on the back burner for 2 years now. There is not enough manpower to finish and it requires a certain time when the ground is hard enough to drive big trucks on it. Brad Doty suggests contracting it out. Ken Wheeler says the most efficient cost would be the street department. Ken Wheeler Report: Carts have lithium batteries and we need to watch their lifespan. Ken and one more mechanic is all we have to work on golf carts Punching of greens went well. The course has survived the heat. Watering daily of greens through heat will eventually let things start drying out. Anticipating the Mayor's tournament and skydivers who will land on the course. Had to replace the motors in the pumping station. Chuck thanked Ken for the great course conditions. There has been overwhelming praise for the outstanding quality of the golf course and conditions. Ken and the team are doing a fantastic job! Brad Doty - Verify a meeting to take place with Ken, Roy, and Raelynn at the city. Public Comment: Jeannie Cridebring- Concerned with fees, does not want to see fees raised because Caldwell has the lowest income, and do not want to see our fees become like Ada County fees. Brad Doty- Costs are still the same Roy- Season Pass Rate lower than Valley, the cost is averaging out. May have to raise the rates because of costs. Sue Kushlan- Historically for years did not raise rates on at a small increase every year.
