Box 1179 Caldwell, ID 83605 RE: BC23-000053 Scannell Industrial South Dear Staff, This narrative is written to request that the landscape islands requirements in the tractor trailer parking area for application BC23-000053 be satisfied by the extra landscape areas on the sides and north end of the parking rows. We are currently providing an average of ±20’ of extra landscape width between the back of curb and the landscape buffer. In addition to that, the landscape islands that we are providing at the truck entrances are wider then required at an average width of ±16.4’. All this additional landscape area that is already being provided, far exceeds the required landscape area of 360 sf that adding in three parking islands would provide. However, providing this landscape area along the edges of the drive aisle and between the parking area and the road allows for the tractor trailers to navigate the parking lots easily without damage landscape and curb improvements. In summary, we ask that you please approve the plans as currently shown since they comply with 10- 07-09.F of the City code. Sincerely, Michael O’Reilly
