HomeMy WebLinkAboutDIRECTOR EMAIL DECISION ON ELEVATIONS - Huntington Ridge EastHi April, I wanted to send you this information below. Robin spoke with the rep for huntington ridge, she then listened to the meeting and read the minutes, apparently they discussed the houses having options for people and shooting for a more affordable price point and the Council was okay with it . I think with this new information, we will be able to approve the elevations for huntington ridge. Its too bad that cant be represented in the findings because of the timing so I am glad it is in the minutes. Hayden Homes reached out to me and stated that although the narrative provided with elevations may have been initially perceived as providing brick on all homes, he stated it was talked about in the meeting about the photos being examples of what they built in other communities and that this development would offer a choice for varying income levels but the goal would be to provide affordable housing. I went through the minutes of the meeting and he is accurate that they presented them as examples of what was built in other communities, and that they were planning to make this development look like there huntington west development. The council never mentioned anything in the meeting about the elevations, in fact, they encourages the affordable housing part. There were also no public that mentioned anything about not liking the houses. The only comments about the project from the pubic was they didn’t like the density. I think because of this new information, we should allow him to do what he stated about leaving it up to the buyer, but wanted to talk to you first.
