ORDINANCE NO. 3627
AN ORDINANCE ENACTED BY THE CALDWELL CITY COUNCIL AMENDING
CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 37, SECTION 02-37-02, OF THE CALDWELL CITY CODE,
PERTAINING TO THE APPOINTMENT AND TERM OF THE CALDWELL DESIGN
REVIEW COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS,
ORDERS AND PARTS THEREOF, IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, County of
Canyon, State of Idaho:
Section 'I. That Chapter 2, Article 37, Section 02-37-02 of the Caldwell City Code
is hereby repealed and replaced with the following:
(1) The DRC shall consist of at least three (3) and no more than seven (7)
commissioners, all of whom shall be appointed by the mayor with the consent of
the city council. Not more thall tWG (2) of the GOFR to be appointed by

members of the commission shall live or -work in the city or in the city's impact area
during the full term of service. Commissioners shall have a background and
interest in community design such as architects, planners, engineers builders,
developers, historians, businesspersons, and property owners
When a vacancy occurs for any reason other than an expired term a new
commissioner shall be appointed to complete the remainder of that term.
. Commissioners
shall be appointed to two (2) and three (3) year terms that are equally staggered.
Subsequent terms shall be three (3) years in length for all commissioners.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication, according to law.

Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be severable. If any portion of this
ordinance is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions
shall continue in full force and effect and shall be read to carry out the purposed of the
ordinance before the declaration of partial invalidity.
Section 4. All ordinances, resolutions, orders and parts thereof in conflict herewith
are repealed.
