RE West Haven Development – ITD Traffic Impact Study Acceptance Letter
Dear Mr. Lewis,
Thank you for providing the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) the West Haven Development Traffic Impact Study
(TIS) to review. The proposed development is located on the south side of State Highway 55 (Karcher Rd) mile post
13.11 at the intersection of S Florida Ave. within the City of Caldwell. This development is proposing one access on to
the state highway system. The proposed access is placed 631’ west from the SH-55 (Karcher Rd) and South Florida
intersection and 520’ east of parcel line. These measurements are within the parameters of IDAPA and therefore, ITD
has no objections to the proposed approach.
This development is being constructed at the same time as the SH-55 widening project is planned. For that reason, ITD
is not requiring any additional mitigation improvements so long as the development is not modified from the latest TIS.
Be advised, ITD Development Condition Memos are valid for a period of one (1) year after issuance. After which, ITD
has the right to require new trip counts to be collected and an updated TIS be submitted to ITD.
Maintaining safety and mobility for Idaho’s motorists is of utmost importance to ITD. We appreciate your
improvements to the livability in Caldwell as we want all residents to travel safely and efficiently around the
