The Caldwell Economic Development Department is pleased that Trilogy Development is considering an opportunity to develop in the City of Caldwell. Our department fully supports its efforts in developing
Valencia Village, a quality mixed-use project within the Caldwell
community. It is no secret that Canyon County is grappling with a sharp housing shortage. To curb this housing scarcity, it is important to provide residential diversity in areas with access to adequate utility infrastructure and transportation systems. The southeast corner of Highway 20/26 and
Middleton Road is poised for redevelopment and we welcome this
quality project to that location. Additionally, the Valencia Village project is located in a region with great access to jobs, services, and transportation access. As a mixed-use project, the site plan includes commercial and retail pads for future development. This project is
congruent with the City’s efforts to provide services and retail activity
in high-growth areas. The Economic Development Department recognizes the value of creating strong mixed-use projects that will enhance the quality of life
for our citizenry. Thus, I give my full support to Trilogy Development’s
Valencia Village application for approval while recommending this project highly. Valencia Village will expand residential diversity and add retail and
commercial services to the Caldwell region. The Caldwell Economic
Development Department looks forward to working with Trilogy Development to bring this meaningful project to our community. Sincerely,
