To Whom It May Concern:
My concerns with the proposed development Case Number DEV23-000003, PUD23-000004, SUB23-000032 are:
1) We do not have the infrastructure in place to accommodate this growth. At present, we are still playing “catch up” to
allow for the rapid expansion of population we have seen in the last few years.
2) To supply the aforementioned resources, I fear for the huge increase of taxes coupled with loss of property values.
3) Anecdotally speaking, the Next Door App has shown an increase in crime when neighborhoods are overwhelmed. For
now, these offenses seem petty (stolen Christmas decorations, tagging fences, cars broken into) but it doesn’t take a
leap of imagination to see these violations escalating into more serious territory.
4) Two years ago, we experienced a drought in Canyon County. Can we guarantee that there will be enough water to
allow for more growth.
Thank you for your serious consideration in addressing the issues of unbridled population growth in Canyon County.
