The Caldwell Planning and Zoning Department does not have any objections to this rezone application. The proposed
commercial zone is an appropriate zone due to the subject property's proximity to the freeway and a state highway.
Additionally, there are commercial uses in the neighboring vicinity.

RE: City Impact Area, Joint Exercise of Power Agreement
Dear Ms. Skinner
You are hereby notified, pursuant to the Joint Exercise of Power Agreement between the City of Caldwell
and Canyon County, that the Development Services Department has accepted an application from Dennis
& Christine Heck who are requesting to Rezone four (4) parcels that total approximately 14 acres from an
"A" (Agricultural) zone to a"C-2" (Service Commercial) zone. The subject properties are located at
22155 Old Highway 30, Caldwell, Idaho, in a portion of Section 9 and 10, T4N, R3W, BM.
Canyon County Code of Ordinances Section 09-01 -1 7(3) and 09-01 -25( I ) for the Caldwell Area of City
Impact apply to this notification in accordance with our agencies' joint agreement.
ln accordance with 09-01-17(3), Canyon County requests the City of Caldwell's input, within thirty (30)
days, on the proposed request. At the hearing, the commission shall give such input due consideration. If
no response is received the County may proceed without recommendation from the City.
