Skinner Cc: Brent Orton; Brian Billingsley Subject: ICE: Address ordinance Anne Marie, I do not really see a need for this level of retaliation when all that I reQuested was to be informed in advance of any ordinance amendments to chapter 12. We need to maintain a level of professionalism within these departments. As per my email earlier today, I stated that I had reviewed the proposed amendments acid had "no comments", With that being said it would only make sense to delete that portion of chapter 12, or yes there would still be conflict between the two. Nowhere. did I mention deleting all references to chapter l?, or that I did not approve the amendment. I apologize if you were only the scribe, I do recall you mentioning that it was ordered by the Mayor. I guess I would have expected professional courtesy through all of this that you had been directed to amend the building department ordinance, Or maybe that's not important. I don't know. Regardless, we are all oil the same team and there needs to be communication for the team to function properly. Thanks. Skinner Sent: Wednesday, May 05, 2010 3:12 PM To: Brett Clark Cc: Brent Orton; Brian Billingsley Subject: RE: Address ordinance And I agree. In this case, however, I was not the instigator of this ordinance change so I don't know who you should be taking your frustrations out on, but it's not me. I was simply the scribe. My assignment was to put the words together based upon what I was told and process it for hearing. Therefore, please do not blame me for something for which no r r blame should be given. I explained to you previously that I had nothing to do with this ordinance change except acting as scribe, but clearly you misunderstood me. Again, I was not the instigator of this ordinance change. However, as scribe I can certainly delete items that I'm told to and it appears to me that you want all references to Chapter 12 deleted because the instigator of this ordinance change did not discuss them with you first. Therefore, I have removed all references to Chapter 12. New ordinances always automatically repeal anything that conflicts anyway, so it's a moot point since all the items existing in Chapter 12 pertaining to addressing conflict with Chapter 5 addressing. If you'd like I can remove the Building Department from the request. If you want to be removed, please explain to Dennis so that he knows that it was at your request that the Building Department was removed and not that it was an oversight on my part by leaving them out.
