Mr. Wagoner,
I am a neighbor to the proposed Las Brisas Senior Apartments @ 1420 E. Ustick Rd. I attended the neighborhood
meeting, as you can see by the sign -in sheet.
The representatives at the site that night had two site versions, the one attached to the case file I looked up on the
website, and a second one with the apartments pulled back off of Ustick Rd. and a "future" commercial lot left
vacant on Ustick. I am writing you to have it noted in the files that I am in favor of the site plan posted with the
application, showing the apartment building pulled up close to Ustick Rd. and I am in opposition to the site plan
with the commercial lot vacant on Ustick. The Apartment building as it is shown, up against Ustick and the parking
garages/spaces on the interior of the building, along with any "Neighborhood gardens" etc, being on the interior is
more appealing to the neighborhood as it will be blocked from view by the building. I expressed this opinion at the
meeting as well.
No discussion about the Community Center was had at the Neighborhood Meeting and it was not shown on the
plans, but since it is discussed and shown on the "file" plans, I would like it to be noted that I believe this amenity is
also best suited to the back and interior of the lot.
I am going to try to be at the Hearing, but in case I am unable to attend I wanted my input noted.
