Subject: Proposed Nampa Impact Area Amendment Northeast Corner and Southeast Corner of Ustick
Road and Middleton Road.
Dear Linda:
This constitutes a formal response to your letter of August 28, 2000 in which you noted your anticipation
of an application for annexation into the City of Caldwell for certain parcels located at the northeast and
southeast corners of the intersection of Ustick Road and Middleton Road. It is my understanding that these
parcels will be contiguous Caldwell's corporate boundaries and can be readily served by Caldwell's public
water/sewer systems.
As previously discussed with you all or a portion of these parcels are situated within Nampa's proposed
amendment to the Area of City Impact boundary for that location and may also be impacted by the City of
Caldwell Airport approach zone.

Since these locations are not presently situated within Nampa's Area of City Impact, are approximately I
mile from our corporate boundaries, and are not at this time serviceable by our public water/sewer systerns,
we are in agreement with, and do not oppose your annexation of these areas into the city limits of Caldwell.
As such I have been authorized to indicate to you and also request that the County exclude the North % of
Section 5, T3N, R2W, and the triangular portion of the SW % of Section 32, T4N, R2W south of the
Solomon Drain from our Impact Boundary Amendment proposal pending final decision before the Canyon
County Board of Commissioners. Should you have questions or require additional information or
clarification on this matter please feel free to contact me.
