Re:CaseNo. A){N-31-00
Annexation Request by Jan Vinson
May 10,2000Date
The Engineering Department has reviewed the proposed request to annex 48 acres into the City
as an Ml Zone. The Department provides the following comments on the request:
l. The Engineering Department does not oppose the proposed annexation.
The area is not presently served by either City sewer or City water, but lines are being
extended in the near future to within l/8 mile of this property.
Right-of-way is not presently deeded on the Linden and KCID frontages. However, at
the time developments are proposed, either as subdivisions or as building permits, the
minimum requirement for right-of-way will be 33 feet half right-of-way on Linden and
30 feet half right-of-way on KCID road.
A portion of the proposed annexation lies within areas designated for purchase by the
Caldwell Industrial Airport. Purchase is normally accomplished as part of a FAA Grant
and in conformance with Federal Procurement Procedures.
The Department invites the applicant to contact the Engineering Department for further
information on the Airport Master Plan.
