Dear Mr. Hasson,
In reading the article in the Press Tribune today regarding new homes within another
massive subdivision, I would ask you to really look at the Monday paper. All the trusbe
sales you are seeing - the majority are new homes that people get into for little or no
down and then walk away from. Is that what you want to create? There are many, many
new subdivisions and homes that are in the used market are not selling because of that.
Somehow that doesn't balance the economy. More houses, does not mean more people, if
they come for a bit, can't pay for their home and leave.
I feel you need to meet with members of real estate office and get their opinion of this
constant growth. There are many, many repo houses on the market.
As of today - just in Caldwell between $75,000 - $99,999 here is what is listed:

Being built to new never lived in
l-5 year old homes
6-10 year old homes
ll-20 year old homes
2l-30 year old homes
31-50 year old homes
50+
Total
Please, look at some facts and figures before we have nothing but cheap houses that are
not taken care of. This is only a sample of what is out there in a certain price range.
In Caldwell alone there are 421 houses listed on the market. That is not the outlying
areas. Rethink another subdivision please.
