The Engineering Department provided the following comments to the Planning and Zoning
Commiision regarding this annexation request, and has no objection to the request.
l) The City water system is capable of providing service to the area. Water mains are in place
on the southern border ofthe property.
2) The City sewer system is capable of providing service to the area. Sewer mains are in place
on the southern border ofthi property, and service stubs have been provided.
3) The Engineering Department requests that the following items be included in a Development
Agreement prior to approval of this case by City Council:
a) Dedication of right-of-way along Ustick Road.
b) Property owner participation in future street improvements.

The Engineering Department has reviewed the proposed annexation and corresponding zoning designations
for the referenced application. This department does not oppose the annexation, and provides the following
comments:
l) The City water system is capable of providing service to the area. Water mains are in place on the
southern border ofthe property.

Southgate Subdivision No. One and Two
(Annexation of older subdivision)
Vicinity of W. Easy Street and Airport Avenue
It appears that the intent of this annexation is primarily for the purpose of connecting to city
water to replace their troubled community water system and wells. The CFD supports this
annexation with the condition that, as city water is brought into their subdivision, that the CFD
will require the installation of fire hydrants per UFC standards.
It should also be noted that on the submitted plat map for Southgate Subdivision No. Two there
is a roadway shown as West Rq[Lane. That street name should be West Ross Lane.
