Background �
As with the cemetery fees, the fees associated with Planning and
Zoning were reviewed and found to be low (I have attached the
chart providing comparisons with other towns compiled by Dennis
Crooks to refresh your memory).
At the time of the budget work sessions, the Council directed
staff to proceed with the new fees. The ordinance before you
tonight will do that.
Options
1) Approve Bill No. 42 as presented. The Council could
choose to just have first reading tonight with subsequent
readings to follow or could choose to suspend the rules and
approve on the first reading - the fees will be implemented.
2 ) Do not approve Bill No. 42. The fees will continue as
they have been.
3) Modify the fees as desired. This can be done by
amending the ordinance.

It is proposed that you have first reading on Bill No. 42
tonight.

ORDINANCE NO. 18 741
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE VI, CHAPTER 4, SECTION 6 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON,
STATE OF IDAHO, PERTAINING TO FEE SCHEDULES: REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, ORDERS AND PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho, County of Canyon, State of Idaho:
Section 1. That Title VI, Chapter 4, Section 6 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell, City of Caldwell,
Canyon County, State of Idaho shall be amended by adding and
deleting certain language as follows:
6-4-6: FEE SCHEDULE: The following fees shall be paid by
applicants at the time of filing an application:
(A) To amend the text of the Zoning Title or amend the
zoning boundary of any zoning district:
1. Change zoning boundaries, $190.03 $150.00.
2. Change the Zoning Title text, $5e-90 $100.00.
(B) For a special permit or planned unit development:
1. First 99 units, $100.00, plus advertising costs.
2. 100 to 299 units, $200.00, plus advertising costs.
3. Over 300 units, $300.00, plus advertising costs.
4. Other special permit or planned unit development
applications, $100.00, plus advertising costs.
(C) For a variance, s5e.ee- $75.00 plus advertising
costs.
(D) Change to Comprehensive Plan, $150.00 plus advertising
costs.
(E) Vacation of streets and easements, $150.00, plus

advertising costs.
(F) Appeals,_ $25.00 plus advertising costs.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval,and publication
according to law.
