We support the change in reducing the rear lot line setback requirements from 20 feet to
15 feet. This will enable a greater variety of house plans in the community, and we
believe the City of Caldwell will benefit with this decision.

This letter is in reference to tonight's meeting regarding rear yard set -backs for
residential construction.
I am unable to attend tonight's meeting. As a developer and builder, I would
like to vote that I am in favor of this proposed change and would like to see this
change implemented as soon as possible.

We are writing to support the City of Caldwell's effort to amend your zoning ordinance to
allow faUea foot (I Y) rear yard set backs in your residential zoning districts. By
allowing fifteen foot rear yard dimensions. homebuilders and homeowners will have
greater flexibility in their home designs. This will also allow larger homes to be built on
standard city lots in Caldwell. Thank you for proposing this change in your zoning
ordinance. Also, thank you for working so well with the development community.
