DISCUSSION WITH PAR. ROEDEL
Feb. 24, 1975
Mr. Roedel discussed with me the annexation of the acre of property he still
owns which lies adjacent to and west of the Green Way Company property.
He explained that he did not wish to request annexation at this time. He is
aware that his taxes would be increased. I asked him the amount of his taxes
and he said last ,year they were $20.00. I informed him if the land were inside
the City, the taxes would be increased more than a third but less than a half
of the present taxes.
He gave me the information that the reason that he retained the acre was that
the Green Way Company owners had first option on his purchase. He thought
that now they would not purchase the land but he is holding it as a specula-
tive piece of property for future sale for commercial purposes.
I explained to him that City water could be made available but that until a
sewer system with a pumpin.7 plant served the area west of Roedel Avenue, sewer
would not be available.
