SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 20,2022 * 1:30 PM
Caldwell Senior Center * 1009 Everett, Caldwell, ldaho
Commission Members Present: Donna Crockett, lulie Warwick, Dean Pratt
Commission Members Absent: Gerald Shea, Russell Weihe
The meeting was called to order by Crockett at 1:30 pm.
A motion to approve the minutes ofthe November meeting was made by Pratt and seconded
by Warwick. Motion passed.
It was noted that a trip hazard in the sidewalk in front ofthe Senior Center has been repaired
but that there was another one that should be addressed near the bench in front of the
building. This will be referred to the City for repair.
Discussion was held regarding other items that would be within the city's purview to repair:
o There are roof leaks both in the back storeroom and in the Boardroom evidenced by
staining of the ceiling panels and water marks running down the walls.
r There is a plastic light cover missing in the back storeroom.
o There are fluorescent bulbs in the kitchen and the back storeroom that need to be
replaced.
As was discussed at the last meeting, Gerald Shea has resigned from the Board ofthe Senior
Center and has not attended Senior Center Commission meetings for one year. Warwick made
a motion to remove him from the Board. Pratt seconded the motion and it was passed. We
will recommend a replacement to the Mayor and Clerk before the next meeting in April2O22.
We are still waiting for a list that clarifies who is responsible for each repair from the City
Finance Director.
A motion was made by Pratt and seconded by Warwick to adjourn the meeting. Motion
passed and meeting was adjourned at 1:50 pm.
