Lynn Bianchi LB Contract,ors In our conversation on Fridayr September 91 1988, I had some reservations about the construction of the addition on Ehe lrest side of the house at. 1122 Eaze1 street. since then I have found in the UBC where it. is acceptable to use untreated Lumber if an approved vapor barrier is used. section 2516(c)-2 calls for treated or decay-resi.Etant lumber. Section 2516(C)-7 states that untreated lunber may be used if an impervious vapor barrier is installed. Although vork on the garage and entrytray nust, be delayed until after the Planning and Zoning Commission acts uPon the variancesrequested, you may proceed sith the addition on Ehe west side of the residence provided compliance vrith the Uniforn Building Code is maint,ained.
