The Centennial Way raised median has historically been a difficult area to safely keep maintained. Centennial is a State Route but the City is responsible for all landscape, irrigation and lighting maintenance. To minimize the difficulty of maintaining the center median, removing the landscaping and paving back with decorative colored and stamped concrete is proposed. Tree vaults with new, smaller trees will be installed and new irrigation for the trees and conduit for this lighting will also be installed. Two bids were received on Dec 61h. Idaho Site Works is the apparent low bidder at $689,573.78 The bidding of this project is consistent with the processes outlined in State Code for formal bidding of contract work over $200,000 in value. The bid tabulation is attached. RECOMMENDED ACTION.• Staff requests approval of the Notice of Award to Idaho Site Works to complete the Centennial Way Median Inlay and Beautification Project for the amount of $689,573.78 and authorizes the City Engineer to execute the agreement for said work.
