Meeting began at 10:00 am. Minutes from July 13,2021 were reviewed. lnitial discussion centered around the cancellation of the Youth Forum event scheduled for the next week (9115t2021) at the Caldwell Train Depot. The upsurge in community COVID case counts over the past few weeks with no indication that it has yet peaked made the decision necessary and prudent. Ron has spoken with the College of ldaho regarding the possibility of holding an indoor event at the College in early January, possibly January 12,2022. COVID precautions and community case counts during the previous weeks will determine if the college will allow visitors al that time. The college has stated they expect to be able to make a determination in early December. Proposed activities and scheduling are expected to remain the same as that proposed for September's cancelled event, including a new "ln Their Shoes" activity led by Kaylee Farrell. Lunch would likely be at Simplot Dining Hall. Review of budget items show an adequate number of t-shirts on hand to accommodate approx.- imately 50-60 students and staff for a smaller event. Sufficient funding remains in the account to cover meals, audio-visual support, and contracted facilitators from the YMCA. The meeting was adjourned at 10:30am. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 9,2021 at 10:00 am at Vallivue High School pending availability (1407 E. Homedale Rd.). ZOOM format and/or alternate meeting venue will be provided if needed.
