Meeting Notes, May 4,2021
Attending in person: Claudia Suastegui, Chelsea Wilson, and Angie Point.
via ZOOM: Ron Bonneau, Oster Hernandez, Patrick Precht, Kaylee Farrel
Ron welcomed everyone to the meeting at 10:09 am,
APPROVAL OF MINUTES (Action ltem): Angie motioned, Claudia seconded the
motion to approve the minutes from the CYF meetings held on January 12,2021 and
March 9, 2021.
MOTION PASSED
New Business:
1 . Review and discuss plans for the upcoming Youth Forum on Wednesday, Sept.
15,2021:. ln-person Forum, 9am - 2:30 pm at the College of ldaho. There is still no
firm commitment from the College; Ron hopes to hear in the next week a
definite yes or no. Other possible venues if the College is unable to host:o O'Connor Field House (Angie will check with event coordinator)o Train DepoUTVCCo lndian Creek Plaza
UPDATE 6/22/2021: The Caldwell Train Depot is available and has been
reserved for the event.o Schools potentially participating:o Caldwell HS is a firm yes.o Oster stated that he believes Elevate Academy is also on boardo VHS, RHS have not given a firm yes or no. School administration
are very cautious in committing in-school time to any outside
activity. School counselors have been unable to attend the last few
meetings. Angie will try to contact counselors.o Canyon Springs?. lce Breaker/morning activities will be coordinated by YMCA staff. Angie
will send a revised MOU/contract to Claudia at the Y.. Special Speaker:o Tara: Kaylee will check with Toni/Tara regarding availability.o Luis: Kaylee also suggested Luis as a potential speaker. Luis is
receptive to helping out if Tara is not available.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Place to be determined - at this
time scheduled for the YMCA conference room.
