HomeMy WebLinkAboutHE Agenda 05-10-22 PUBLIC MEETING INFORMATION CITY OF CALDWELL Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we invite interested parties to participate in public hearings either electronically or in person. If you have a cough, fever, or are not feeling well, please contact Planning & Zoning staff to arrange participation remotely. The City of Caldwell follows the CDC guidelines to allow for distancing in the public meeting area and provide masks/hand sanitizer on site. Virtual Participation Option: Register in advance to provide public comments electronically or by telephone. During the registration process, you will be asked what item on the agenda you wish to speak about. Please use the case number as listed within the written notice. On-line registration must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Click on the green “public meetings” button on the center of the page. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the virtual meeting. All comments received after the staff report has been transmitted will be included in the case file and provided as late exhibits at the appropriate public hearing. CONSENT CALENDAR: 1) ACTION ITEM: N/A II. OLD BUSINESS: 1) ACTION ITEM: N/A III. NEW BUSINESS: 1) ACTION ITEM: Case Number VAR22-000002: A request by Donald and Phyllis Easteppe for a rear property line setback variance in the R1 zone from 20 feet to 10 feet for the purpose of constructing a 30’x40’ RV Storage Garage in the southwest corner of parcel R06955 (0.35 acres) at 2308 Terrace Drive, Caldwell, ID. 2) ACTION ITEM: Case Number SUP22-000002: A request by Canyon County to develop an approximate 10,000 square foot warehouse building for document retention/archiving, PPE storage, furniture and surplus equipment storage. No outdoor storage is proposed. The proposed location is adjacent to and west of the West Valley Animal Shelter at 5801 Graye Lane, Caldwell, ID. The subject property is zoned C3 (Service Commercial). 3) ACTION ITEM: Case Number ANN22-000003/SUP22-000001: A request by Penelope Constantikes, on behalf of Justin Fishburn, for an annexation of parcels R3248700000 (approximately 5.84 acres) and R3247801000 (approximately 8.18 acres) with a zoning designation of R3 (High Density Residential). Concurrently a request for a Special Use Permit for Lavender Crossing Apartments, consisting of 12 apartment buildings with 288 multi-family dwelling units. The property is designated as High Density Residential in the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. The subject property is located south of the Walmart on Cleveland Blvd and north of Weston Pointe No 5 subdivision. 4) ACTION ITEM: ANN22-0000001 / PUD22-000001 / SUB22-000005: A request by Hayden Homes to annex 60.24 acres with an R1 (Low Density Residential), designated Low Density Residential in the Comprehensive Plan. Concurrently, the applicant is requesting a preliminary plat with a PUD, planned unit development, for Huntington Ridge East Subdivision, consisting of 224 total lots including 189 buildable lots and 35 common lots. The subdivision is proposed to be constructed in four (4) phases. The subject property is located adjacent to the Mosaics Charter School at 3121 Lincoln Road, parcel numbers R3479200000, R3479701000, and a portion of R3479700000, Caldwell, Idaho. IV. Adjournment. Public Information/Responsibility: For public hearing cases that are scheduled to be heard by City Hearing Bodies and are not heard on the noticed date: The hearing body is required to provide a “date certain” for when that case will be heard (typically on the next hearing agenda but not always). Additional notices are not required and are NOT sent to property owners or posted on the site. Please check the city’s website for agendas and updates or contact staff for the hearing date that the particular case is to be heard.
