Chairman Randolph reported that Deruris Crooks had indicated an interest in serving as a
Commissioner and would be contacting the Mayor in t}ris regard.
The Chairman also reported that LeAnn Simmons, on behalf of the Chamber of Cofitmerce,
was interested in literature regarding historic properties to be available at the Chamber.
He also mentioned a brochure under discussion between Caldwell Parks & Recreation

be revived. The Commission suggested that the Ciry Attorney review the ordinance
presented previously concerning formation of a local historic district and Ms. Yeary review
the list of properties and make any amendments that may have taken place since the
original application.
It was agreed to obtain information from Elaine Leppert concerning a walking tour, and

The Chairman advised the Commission that Susan Stacey will be beginning the survey for
1992 during the second week of June.
The Chairman reminded everyone of the upcoming Idaho Historical Society Annual
Conference and encouraged members to attend.
Mr. Randolph raised the question of what will the Commission do with the information
gathered in the four years of srudy. 'Ihere was a suggestion that when the curent survey
is completed all subject property owners for the whole four years should be invited to a
presentation by Susan Stacey on the project. There might also be a brochure produced on
upgrading historic homes or submitting them for historic register nomination.
Under new business, the Commission discussed the historic area between Dearbom and
Fillmore and 13th Avenue and 19th Avenue and the necessity to possibly request a rezone
of that area as soon as possible to protect the integrity of that district.
With no further business the meeting adjourned at 8.45 p.m.
