The Centennlal Comrlssloh meetlng was held at 7 t3O PI{ at the Clty
]a11 wl th 7 nelrrbers, the coordlnator and Pete Cowles present. Asvthe last meetlnE was prlmarlly a work meetlng, the nlnutes we?e not
read.
Torn and Loulsa showed a breakdown on expenses allowable under
the two fourdatlon Arants--Caldwell Comrurilty and l{hlttenburcer.
Connrunlcatlons from these two orsanlzatlons were read stattng the
condltlons of acceptance of funds. Funds are usable only for Hlstorlc
and Photoqraphlc d1splays. Dave ard Lorene have prlced the plcture
nounts of hlEh quall ty at the Idaho State Llbrary and plan to proceed
wlth the orlglnal plan of a "nounted" plcture ahd hlstory fl1e at
the Ca1dwe11 Pub1lc Llbrary. Some antlque wooden fl1e cablnets are
a1ready ava1lab1e at the llbrary and n-^ed to be reflnlshed. The proJect
deflnltely wl11 not be flnlshed thls Centennlal year.
It was moved, seconded and passed that we dlscontlnue the centennlal
offlce at the l1brary. Clty Ha11 can handle ary remalnlng ca11s.
Paul suggested a f1nancla1 sheet be prepared on the calendar sales.
It was voted to charge $5.00 for any downtowr dlsplay plctures so1d.
It was also moved, seconded and passed that the dlsplays renalrl up
thru October.
There was a dlscusslon of where the 1983-$2,000 Bevehue Sharlng
funds the Commlsslon asked for at the hearlng--and were granted-weht.
The Centenntal Conmlsslon never recelved the funds. Loulsa reported
the Ivlayor spent the funds on Centennlal actlvltles ard returned the
remalnlnc funds back to the clty. Thls w111 cause a shortaAe for
Loulsat s salary for the next two months. Meetlnc adJourned.

It was arrourrced that the centennial offlce has been closed. We have
rrot recelvetl the ftnal phone blll ' Loulsa reported the llbrary has
set up a ma1I box for any communlcatlons that come in' A b111 for
$28.00 for Glen Cornell--for Craft Show slghs was alIowed.
Lorene offered to qo over the Centennlal books and prepare a f1nal
report for the Clty Council . LouIsa announced the freeway stop 11eht
would be retlred Nov. 18, and the Elks lodge would hold Veterans Day
dedtcatlon ceremonles on the Veteran Memmorlal on Nov. 11 . Dec. 1
1s the deadllne for Tlme Capsul contents. She reported a Bank balance
(lncludlne srant funds ) or $r,567.95.
