A speclal neeting of the Caldwell Commission on Hlstorlc
Preservation was held at the 0a1dwe11 library J an. 26 at 4 PM.
Five members, Mayor tvicCluskey and Oouncilman Carter were present.
Inoormal dlscussion on the Oentennlal followeal. Gilroy, Evans,
anai Dunlap have met twlce and suggest selling ,tlt. calenalar
with the year dlvitled into monthly actlvities .'fhey also sugg€sted
the saLe of T-Shlrts and Oommemoratlve colns a ncl free wootlen
colns. A print out of thelr suggestions if enclosed. Evans
showed. some ltleas for the calendar. ltor€ work to be alone.

The Caldwel-1 Cornmission on Hlstoric Preservation met [tednesday
January 6 at the Clty HaII. Uhairman LouieAttebery presialed.
6#^members anal one council member were present. 'i.'he mlnutes
were approveal as read. Attebery announced that the Uentennial
Grant requesteal from the |lhittenberger tr'oundation was not
granted. 0ther methods of funding the Oentennial were dLscusseal .
{1,2r000.00 of Revenue Sharing l,'unds 1s available. $usan cllroy,
who has experience in grants/requests was introduced as a
new member.
Election of officers was helti. Tom Ensley automatically moves
up to chairman. Jan Beckwlth was nomlnated anti a unanlrnloEs ballot
cast for tran to be seconal vlce chairman. Lorene Thurston was
nominated and a unanimious ball-ot cast for Lorene to be secretary.
