The regular meeting of the Caldwell Historic Commission was held in
the City Council Chambers on May 6, I98l , with Dr. Louie Attebery, chair-
man, presiding and the following members present: Paul Evans, Jan Beckwith,
Dave Dorsey, Lorene Thurston and Alice Dunlap. Members Tom Ensley, Ken
Roberts, Bob Jarboe, Dorothy Reynol ds were absent and Council Representa-
tives Pat l,lallea and Les Carter were also absent.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

away. Dave said Mr. Gamboa would find any abstract on old houses which
the committee members would wish to see. It was suggested that the com-
mittee go as a group to the abstract office and ask I''lr. Gamboa to show the
old ones to us.
During the discussion on Centennial p)ans A1 ice Dunlap brought infor-
mation on a history fair in the schools and Paul Evans had samples of
brochures from Caxtons with estimate of charges. Caxtons would set type
and print them, we'd furnish the paper and for 20,000 copies the charge
would range from 30ri to $1 .25 each.
It was suggested that a sub-conmittee be appointed to explore thein connection with printing the brochures. The possibilityva rt ous a ven uesrakth

Louie Attebery reported that the show called "Hidden Places" would be
shown on PBS Channel 4, Ju)y 2,.A9,16 and the Silver City episode would be
presented July I6.

the plans for the next meeting.
