HomeMy WebLinkAboutHPC Apr 1 1981 minutest CALDWELL HISTORIC COI-IMISSION April I, I98l The regular meeting of the Caldwell Historic Conrnission was held in the City Council Chambers on April I, l98l , at 5:00 p.m. with Dr. Louie Attebery, Chairman, presiding and with the following members present: Paul Evans, Lorene Thurston, Dave Dorsey, AIice Dunlap, Ken Roberts and Tom Ensley. Members Jan Beckwith, Bob Jarboe and Dorothy Reynolds r,,ere absent. Council Representative Pat l,lallea was also present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Under old business Ken Roberts reported that he had mailed in our application for tax exempt status. He also said there were tvJo things we needed to do which concerned amendments to the by-1aws. The first one was to amend the membership section to include the words "members shall be selected without regard for race, co1or, re1 igion and sex" and the second was to add Article IV which would state that upon dissolution of the Commission all monies and property were to be given to the city of Caldwell. After discussing the value of old abstracts, it was suggested that Dave see Joe Gamboa of Canyon Abstract and Title Co. about having the ones they are dis- cardi ng , Paul Evans menti oned Centenni al . a letter he had received from the Mayor concerning the Pat Mallea suggested that the Conrnission consider asking for foundation money to help the Conmission in a possible publ ication of a booklet or brochure.
