HomeMy WebLinkAboutHPC Oct 1 1980 minutesI HISToRIC C0MMISSIoN IIEETING 0ctober I, 1980 The regular meeting of the Historic Commission of Caldweil was heid 0ctober I,1980 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers with Paul Evans, Chairman, presiding and members Dave Dorsey, Torn Ensley, Ken Roberts, Jan Beckwith and Alice Dunlap present. The chairman presented information on the Bishop's House in Boise and Nampa's downtown revitalization project, and mentioned the coming series to be on PBS Channel 4 ca'l led "This Old House. " Under old business there was discussion on publ icity for the commis-sion. Jan Beckwith read the articles written by A1 ice Dunlap and Paul Evans. It was suggested that the Mayor give his approval and that I'lark Crane of the Statesman be called. It was suggested that copies of the Wa1 king Tour be brought for all the members. After the discussion of the by-laws regarding terms of office andelection it was suggested that the mayor be asked to appoint the menbers as they are at present so as to conform with our written by-laws when the drawing for terms of service will be done after January l, I98l . Tom Ensley talked about the survey of the old buildings. Dave Dorsey's survey had been given to the Mayor who had presented it to the Council members for reading. It was suggested that a fi'le for holding information gathered on the survey be in the Councii Chambers for the members to use. Dave Dorsey said that February is the best time to takepictures of buildings and overcast days are the best. I'leeti ng adjourned .
